- Shocks and struts: These systems can wear out between 50,000 and 100,000 miles, depending on the bumpiness and condition of the road. Consider having them checked once a year.
- Coolant fluid exchange: Replace the coolant every three years or so, though some extended-life coolants can last up to ten years.
- Spark plugs: Spark plugs can last up to 90,000 miles, depending on the design and materials. Consult your car manual for details regarding your vehicle's spark plugs.
- Serpentine belt: Serpentine belts can last up to 100,000 miles, but it's best to inspect them for damage starting at 60,000 miles.
